I’m a 21 year old University student from Canada. I’ve just gotten out of a downward spiral and am trying to turn my life around, and I’d really like to focus on writting and things related to academics. I figured I could use this webpage to express that and to improve on my writing since I had abandonned it for a long while. However, I still love to read and write and thus want a place to share my thoughts and opinions and my written work. Of course this is more for me than anything else, but I would love to recieve some feedback from others.

i thought you might like this poem i put together about anxiety,
Hard spoken but soft to hear
Direction from you sounds so clear
My outside focus tunnels in
For years now this is where i’ve been
Loud images walk quietly through
Observation is all i do
Awkwardly placed beneath the light
Mimic the shadows await the night
Please oh please don’t do this again
I really hate when you creep in
I worked so hard to be myself
the big picture fades, falls off the shelf
draw a blank and hide a stare
blurry vision full of despair
i hide away until your gone
my only cure is this old song

Thank you for sharing that poem with me, it’s very well write. I wish I could write poetry haha But I honestly think it speaks volumes to anxiety. I have often thought to myself ‘please oh please don’t do this again/I really hate when you creep in/ I worked so hard to be myself’

Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and all. However think of if you added some great visuals or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and videos, this site could certainly be one of the best in its niche. Terrific blog!
